Is Today the Day?

Is Today the Day?

Is today the day you have that a-ha moment about something?

Is today the day that you start your gratitude list? And the more you realize what you’re grateful for, the more you also realize that you’ve got a lot of good things going for you.

Is today the day that you start a personal accomplishments list? And the more you realize what you’ve accomplished so far in life, the more you realize that you really can accomplish anything that you want to do as long as you begin the journey.

Is today the day that you realize that a simple act of committing as little as five minutes a day to yourself can be the action that propels you on your journey toward accomplishing something you always wanted to do?

Is today the day that you decide to have a conversation with someone about something that just hasn’t been feeling right for a while? And after you have the conversation, you might discover that there were assumptions and misunderstandings at play that were leading to the uncomfortable feelings. And now things feel right again.

Is today the day that a total stranger walks into your life and says exactly the thoughts you’ve been thinking for a while? And this gives you validation that what you’ve been thinking isn’t so crazy after all.

Is today the day that you find your voice? You’ve had this thought that you’ve been dying to share but you’ve been holding back because you’re not sure what people will think of you. Is today the day that you share that thought and the sheer act of saying it out loud gives you the courage to say it over and over again because people need to hear what you’ve got to say?

Is today the day that you really and truly take an opportunity to dance like no one is watching?

Is today the day that you realize that you don’t have to be perfect in everything that you do? And you realize that whatever you learn from any mistakes you make along the way will actually help you far more than they’ll hurt you.

Is today the day that you start to live your life exactly as you want to for YOU, and you know that whenever the end comes, you’ll have absolutely no regrets?

Is today the day that you start to notice all of the beauty around you? You hear the birds singing, you smell the flowers, you see the moon and the night stars.

Is today the day that you decide to forgive everything and everyone that has been eating at you? Including yourself.

Is today the day you unleash the chains that have been holding you back from your dreams? You realize that everything holding you back is nothing more than a series of limiting beliefs and you realize that you can snap every one of them as you move forward in the direction of your dreams.

Is today the day you choose to spend not worrying about anything?

Is today the day you decide to stop waiting and start living?

Is today the day that you look in the mirror and just love the person looking back at you, imperfections and all?

Is today the day that you tell someone how much you appreciate them for what they do or represent for you?

Is today the day that you embrace any fear inside of you, give it a big hug and say “come on honey, you’re going to enjoy the ride” and you scream WWWWhhhhhEEEEeeee!! as you run out the door?

Is today the day you realize that everything you do makes a difference, and that no one is too small to make a BIG difference?

Is today the day that you realize that we’re all in this together?

Is today the day that you choose to be UNAPOLOGETICALLY YOU?

If not today, then WHEN?

Ken Jaques describes himself as a Health Care Evolutionary, Community Builder, and Speaker. True healing begins when we treat root causes instead of just masking symptoms. Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in 2008, Ken has experienced many facets of the health care system. As “the only patient who ever lost their hair on this low of a dosage of chemotherapy” – as spoken by his rheumatologist – Ken has been on an amazing journal of self-discovery, a journey of true healing. In his blog, Ken shares stories of how his beliefs have changed over the past few years, and how they are still changing. Is it possible that our bodies can heal themselves? Do we really have to live without hope after we receive a chronic illness diagnosis? These are the types of questions that Ken encourages people to ask themselves as they embark on their own physical or emotional healing journey.

Ken is creating a platform to connect People, Patients, Practitioners, Partners and Promoters, enabling a collaborative effort to help shift the focus on health from I-llness to We-llness. Check out the pilot at www.myHealthyCommunity.ca.

  1. Ooh, this really appealed to me! I love asking questions and being asked them too. So, this really spoke to me. I’m seeing where I need to let go of my worries especially, along with living more authentically. I can definitely tell that you are a great coach…you ask the good questions. Rock on, my friend 🙂
